Lucky or Unlucky?
Around 8 years ago, during a fun-filled holiday in Spain, I had a misstep on a curb, breaking my 5th metatarsal. Initially, we thought it was just a sprain, until we learned it required surgical intervention. The surgery took significantly longer than expected, and my then girlfriend waited for over 8 hours for me. In the dim light, I saw her sleeping on the sofa beside my bed, and that moment cemented my desire to spend the rest of my life with her. We’ve been married for nearly 3 years now, and that experience taught me the value of perseverance and the importance of trust.

Fast forward to when I was 24, my husband and I embarked on our first trip to Las Vegas. Nighttime drives on the Las Vegas strip were dazzling, and the thrill of the casinos was palpable. When I realized it was missing while checking out, the sting of losing $300, all my credit cards, and having to cancel them was too much to bear.
