My Disappointing Journey Through France: A Case of Excess and Despair

What Country Was Most Disappointing: France

When planning my bucket list of travel destinations, France was always at the top of my list, the country of elegance, succulent cuisine, and cultural richness. However, my expectations were shattered, and the reality was indeed as terrible as I could imagine.

The Ideal and the Reality

In pictures, France exudes elegance and tranquility. But reality hit me like a brick wall. Instead of the utopia I envisioned, it felt more like a relentless disappointment. The cliché that Paris is a lsquo;shitholersquo; was more rooted than I could ever imagine. Paris and the entire stretch of France had transformed into a mere mockery of what it once was.

One could easily say that Paris is lsquo;BEAUTIFUL,rsquo; but in a sarcastic context. According to many, the entire nation of France looks like itrsquo;s rolling in the kilometer-deep league. France is NOT a first-world country in any way. It was more like the ldquo;THIRD WORLDS OF EUROPErdquo; by every metric. France once held a standing as a superpower, but its once resilient and vibrant society has become a mere shadow of its former self.

France, A Failed State?

France is not merely disappointed; it is an epitome of a failed society and a failed state. Delusions fostered by its people, particularly in Paris, suggest a collective acceptation of their current status quo. The comparison to the United Kingdom further crystallizes this contrast. Similar in terms of economy and society not too long ago, they now stand poles apart. The UK now feels more welcoming, safe and flourishing, whereas France remains in decline. The once-rival countries, Britain and France, ironically, now see their mutual decline with sadness and surprise.

Meet the French: Rudeness and Arrogance

But itrsquo;s not just the society that is disappointing; the people are equally disappointing. The French are described as rude, arrogant, fake, and lazy. The stereotype of French people is further reinforced when one encounters frequent strikes and violent protests over trivial matters. While I can appreciate the act of striking under any significant issues, the sheer frequency and triviality of what sparks protests in France are indeed a pessimistic reflection of the state of French society.

Paris: A Shithole and More

Paris, often the essence of all French grandeur, is now little more than a repository of filth and inefficiency. The city stinks of urine, and the streets are infested with dog sht. Wandering through Paris feels like a dangerous walk in a no-go area rather than a stroll in a picturesque European capital. One must be bold to claim France as the lsquo;most beautiful country in ; The country is infested with problems that cannot be overlooked, and these issues seem to be deteriorating rather than improving.

Far From the Promised Land

While visiting London, which shares a historical rivalry with France, I felt a far higher level of comfort and security. Such is the stark contrast between the two nations that France now stands as a symbol of societal collapse and despair. It was chilling to witness the resilience of Parisian society during the 1940 invasion by the Germans, yet now, in 2023, it struggles with a crisis even more critical.

The nation's current socio-political and economic challenges seem to be worse than any invasion in the darkest moments of French history. The failure to address these issues could deal the final blow, marking the fall of a once-great nation.

England and Scotland: A Letdown Too

While gazing at the culinary and scenic beauty of Ireland, England and Scotland didnrsquo;t impress me too much. The cities were mediocre, the food bland, and the scenery plain. There is no diversity in beautiful mountains or captivating forests, making these destinations less appealing in my eyes.

In summary, my once dream destination turned into a bitter lesson in reality. France, once the beacon of European culture and society, is now a country mired in despair, reflecting the worst of human failings and societal collapses. England and Scotland, while not as disappointing, still hold some charm, but they seem to have fallen behind the scenic and culinary excellence of Ireland. Itrsquo;s a reminder not to let illusions blind us from the truth.
